If you’re one of my clients, you’ll be well aware that I bang on a lot about how important it is to have a blog.

But since getting this website up and running, I’ve been so busy writing blogs (and websites and articles and reports and sales letters and brochures) for other people that I haven’t had time to write my own. Hashtag freelance copywriter problems, amiright?

However, in the spirit of a new year and a fresh start, I’m making a pact to publish more nuggets of bloggy goodness on here (even if it eats into my after-work running, snacking and Netflix-watching time).

Regular, quality content is now (finally) recognised as absolutely vital for SEO – and it’s set to become even more important in 2015.

But I’m not just in it for the SEO – hopefully some of it will be interesting. And hang on to your hats ’cause some bits might even be useful.

The charming Google analytics robots tell me I mostly get hits from prospective clients who want help from a creative copywriter (hooray) but I also get visits from people looking for tips about how to get started as a freelance copywriter and those wondering what ‘good copy’ is all about.

These kind of visits are less handy for keeping me in hobnobs and cups of tea, but if anything I’ve learned along the way to becoming and working as a freelance copywriter can help anyone else, I’m all for it. The less god-awful copy in the world, the better, I reckon.

So I’m thinking this can be a place for freelance copywriting tips, tricks and case studies – with a few funny gifs thrown in for good measure. I don’t want to build this up too much, but I think it will be pretty great.

Come back soon!
